Homework Helpers is a free program offering homework help to children in Kindergarten through 6th grades. It was started in October 2020 by Moorestown High School students, Dylan Mies '23, Adam Connor '23, Evan Schaffer '23 and Lucas Megill '23. The idea to offer free homework help was born as a result of COVID-19. Due to the changes in school schedules, and thus, limited access to homework help, they felt they could provide a service to the Moorestown community by getting other high school student volunteers who’ve excelled in Math, English and Science. Since the program started in October, 2020, close to 100 high school students have tutored over 1000 hours and counting. Dylan, Adam, Evan and Lucas have been friends since first grade and are also co-founders of another non-profit organization chapter, Lions Heart Moorestown Chapter.
